"Thank you for taking the trouble to visit this section of my website and for making a donation to Els for Autism. It is obviously a subject close to our hearts and Liezl and I know from our own experiences the impact it has on the lives of families touched by Autism. Together we are determined to make a difference.

"That is why we set up Els for Autism; to try to generate funding for scientific research aimed at understanding Autism, developing knowledge-based treatments and offering support and education for those in need.

"Many years from now people may remember me as a golfer and as a major champion. But I'd like also to be remembered as somebody who took the issue of Autism and did something with it. The rest of my life, I'll be fighting this thing and I am grateful to everyone who joins with us. Your support makes a real difference, so thank you again."
